At the heart of motoDNA is a digital platform accessed through a subscription model. 100% data driven, using a GoPro on your motorbike, our software analyses your riding, grades your skills compared to thousands of other riders, then our algorithms teach you how to level up keeping you safe but still having fun. All this on a gamified rewards-based community platform.
V1 is now live and works in a controlled environment with the full open road version development underway. The rider is required to layout a specific figure 8 course around which they carry out pre-set real world maneuvers called streetSKILLS 101 while collecting data.
The video, including the data, captured by the rider is uploaded into the motoDNA digital platform where purpose-built algorithms measure rider skill levels and then advise riders how to improve, step by step. The results are then displayed through engaging data visualizations showing skill level, provide feedback on areas of focus and then enabling them to pit their results against other riders through leaderboards.
Premium subscribers also gain access to a Virtual Coach. This level of support provides more tailored and detailed feedback on individual rider results.
Development is underway to embed the technology within the motorcycle itself in a similar way to an airline blackbox, drawing upon live rider telematics directly taken from key components of the bike. This data is then processed and anaylsed in real time, with the ability to provide key feedback to the rider in the ‘ride moment’ via ‘heads up display’, audio and haptics or post ride.
